MOC: Average finished steel price in China up one percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (March 28-April 3) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by one percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of hot dip galvanized (HDG), rebar and high-speed wire rod in China moved up by 1.8 percent, 1.3 percent and 1.2 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.6 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) declined by 1.2 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal and coking coal decreased by 0.1 percent and 0.5 percent week on week, respectively, while the average price of thermal coal remained stable week on week.
