WISCO issues steel prices for December shipment

The prices of flat steel products from major Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) for December shipment are as follows (comparisons being with November prices):

1.      Prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) products for automotive application have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt), and other common carbon HRC products are down by RMB 150/mt ($22/mt). As a result, the new price of Q235 5.5 mm × 1,500 mm is RMB 4, 110/mt ($618/mt), while that of SPHC 2.75 mm × 1,250 mm is RMB 4,250/mt ($640/mt).

2.      Prices of common carbon, low alloy and premium carbon steel plates as well as ship plate have decreased by RMB 200/mt ($30/mt). Thus, the new price of Q235 14-20 mm medium plate stands at RMB 4,280/mt ($644/mt).

3.      82 B series wire rod price has been raised by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt), while other wire rod prices remain unchanged.

4.      Prices of common carbon cold rolled (CR) products have decreased by RMB 240/mt ($36/mt), while prices of other cold rolled products remain unchanged. As a result, the new price of SPCC1.0mm mm cold plate is RMB 5,060/mt ($762/mt), while cold rolled steel coil with the same specification is RMB 5010/mt ($754/mt).

5.      Prices of common carbon galvanized coil have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt) and other galvanized coil product prices remain unchanged, with the new price of DX51D+Z 1.0 mm galvanized coil standing at RMB 5,433/mt ($818/mt).

6.      Structural product prices have remained unchanged

7.      Prices of non-grain-oriented silicon steel have remained unchanged

8.      Color coated product prices have dropped by RMB 200/mt ($30/mt).

9.      Tinplate prices remain unchanged

All the above prices are ex-mill, effective from November 18, and do not include 17 percent VAT
