Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel product prices for February shipment. The prices are as follows (comparisons being with January prices):
1. Hot rolled (HR)
The prices of hot rolled (HR) steel products have remained unchanged. Accordingly, the ex-work prices of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm x 8C SPHC grade hot rolled coil (HRC) and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm x C Q235 grade HRC respectively stand at RMB 3,890/mt ($616/mt) and RMB 3,870/mt ($613/mt).
2. Cold rolled (CR)
The prices of cold rolled (CR) steel products have remained unchanged. Thus, the price of 1.0 mm Q195 grade cold rolled steel is at RMB 4,540/mt ($719/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x CQ195 grade cold rolled coil (CRC) still stands at RMB 4,540/mt ($719/mt), both ex-works.
3. Rolled plate
All prices have remained unchanged. As a result, the ex-works price of 20 mm Q235 grade plate stays at RMB 4,510/mt ($714/mt).
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
All prices have remained unchanged. 1.0 mm DX51D+Z grade galvanized coil is still priced at RMB 4,700/mt ($744/mt).
5. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)
All prices are unchanged. As a result, 0.45 mm TDC51D+Z grade PPGI remains at RMB 5,960/mt ($944/mt) ex-works.
6. Grain-oriented silicon steel
All prices have remained the same.
7. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel
The prices of NGO silicon steel products of steel grade below 800 have risen by RMB 30/mt ($4/mt).
8. Wire rod (WR)
The price of S45C grade wire rod has been reduced by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt).
9. Tinplate
The prices of tinplate products have remained unchanged.
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of January 10, 2012.
