France's steel product import value down 8.1 percent in January-November

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-November period of last year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €8.26 billion, decreasing by 8.1 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €1.72 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 2.8 percent, €407.24 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 5.6 percent, €674.96 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 2.7 percent, €397.93 million of cold drawn wire - decreasing by 2.7 percent, and €1.71 billion of metal structures and parts - down by 1.6 percent, all compared to the January-November period of 2018.
